I want every session to deliver high value for you, and fit well with the context of your every day life, in a way that works and lasts.

Feel free to choose flexibly!
If we’re doing trauma therapy, we need to start with weekly sessions of 60-90 minutes in line with research. For other aims, you can book sessions of any length and frequency that suits you.

You can work with me at the same consistent time to give you a steady anchor of support, or we can roll with the various changes in your life if that enables therapy to be more realistic for you

You’re welcome to make short notice bookings to get help you need when you need it most.

My fee is flexible according to the length of session you’d like to book

You can also have an intensive burst of sessions if you want rapid relief from high anxiety to achieve an important milestone such as a successful exam, presentation or project delivery. Intensive EMDR works really effectively!

This will save you £250 on a course of 10 sessions, and £500 over 20 sessions.
This offer is to encourage people to try out at least one session on the phone. Clients tell me that phone sessions make it very easy to experiment with practical ways to regulate their nervous system while we talk, such as sitting in the sun or heading for a stroll in fresh air.

Working on the phone together also makes it easy to have session pauses, whether 10 minutes or a couple of hours, to integrate session insights and tools into real life - perhaps as two parts to rest and reflect, or to wrap around something you've been avoiding as a way of getting it successfully over the line. We can get you confidently prepared then reconnect again to pick up the conversation with a celebration that YOU DID IT. It’s a great way of making therapy obviously re-energising, relevant and beneficial on the spot!
Focused shorter catch up calls

Once we've got our work underway, you can opt for focused phone calls for motivating accountability support to maintain high momentum in key progress areas.
In person longer sessions - a space to reflect even more deeply

Day retreats - £450 - £900
Once we’ve created solid teamwork, there’s the option of walk and talk coaching or therapy in Regents Park or Hyde Park/ Kensington Gardens once a month, as well as walk and talk coaching or therapy in gorgeous green GL6/GL7 locations, in between Stroud and Cirencester, or a half day/full day Integrative Therapy Retreat in the Chalford GL6 area – it’s a tranquil and beautiful part of the Cotswolds.

If you have WPA health insurance cover
​
​​You can choose to make use of WPA’s in house mental health counselling support
and/or work with a WPA registered specialist for an approach that's more specifically tailored to you, which is where I come in.
I’ve been a WPA therapy provider since 2009, with a lot of experience in helping people get the most out of their policies! This can look like weekly sessions of EMDR, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, CBT, Schema Therapy, and/or Compassion Focused Therapy online, on the phone, in flexible combinations to suit your needs and progress.

WPA insurance can cover up as much as £75,000 for help with mental health. This gifts you with a unique opportunity to do as much of a deep dive into personal, professional and relational transformation as you wish! WPA therapy policy allows people to work with me in a way that’s completely bespoke to you – whether that’s intensive EMDR for a recent traumatic incident, twice weekly nervous system regulation therapy for panic, burnout or insomnia, or even a few half day retreats to create a peaceful space for overcoming stress, struggles with boundaries, or complicated relationship issues.

How to get WPA therapy off the ground in three easy steps!
1. Prior to your free discovery chat with me, give WPA a quick call to find how much mental health financial cover you have per year, the renewal date, and ping me a brief text with that info so I can help you think strategically how you can make best use of WPA therapy cover.

2.. After your discovery call, if you decide you’d like to give therapy with me a try, just give WPA my name and therapy provider number 920642657 and ask for authorisation for an initial “assessment” session.This is a great chance for you to think about your needs, priorities, therapy options and preferences with positive clarity without any pressure to commit to further sessions.
3. If you’d like more, that’s easy! WPA will email you a straightforward therapy recommendation form to forward on to me for us to complete together – very easy and transparent. Usually therapy via WPA cover is authorized for 3 months at a time.
If you'd like more sessions after that, I simply write a short update and request further therapy with WPA. I’ll bill directly to WPA too, it’s all taken care of for you

SO! To get going with therapy that’s both free AND specifically tailored to you, all you need do is call WPA and let them know in a couple of lines that you’d like to “make a start with specialist psychotherapy and have identified Eleanor Bigden as a potential WPA therapy Provider – number 920642657 - what's my mental health financial cover and renewal date? Then you can also ask “can you email me my mental health policy information and initial assessment form”. It is usually that simple!

How many sessions will you need?
​
This will depend on how many issues you'd like to address and your courage to actively experiment with different ways of responding in your every day life. Research recommends booking a course of 6 sessions at a time, then review progress, set new aims and deepen the journey should you wish, in further blocks of 6.
If you’re seeking help with a challenge that’s recently arisen, or you have a very specific aim, then 6 to 12 sessions may well be plenty.
For effectively addressing several aims, complex life situations, long standing patterns, or you struggle with major avoidance, it's wise to realistically plan for deeper work to help you truly heal and empower yourself.

Some people decide to go on a longer term teamwork journey with me, where I started as their therapist and coach, and then evolved to became their ongoing mentor or "life path guide" on a steady or ad hoc basis for different life areas and transition points. Its wonderful to have accompanied many people with a genuine and secure team relationship of progressive wisdom and depth.
