Therapy

Feeling stuck in unhelpful patterns and habits?

Finding it hard to heal from a traumatic or painful relationship or memory?

Feeling stressed out, anxious, low in mood or disturbed by mood swings?

If so, therapy can offer you a supportive, confidential and non-judgemental space to address these issues and find a new sense of freedom. It may be that you recognise the need to understand and heal certain issues in order to move on with your life, in which case, therapy may be a very useful source of help, as you can benefit from properly trained and experienced assistance.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is an umbrella term for a range of approaches for helping you to change how you feel. They all work by helping you replace unhelpful thinking styles and behaviour with healthier ways of thinking and responding that will really work for you in both the short and long term.

All CBT approaches are carefully developed on the basis of thorough research. The type of CBT approach used will vary from client to client according to each individuals' particular issues, needs, preferred way of working, and the kind of help you may have already tried. This means CBT is specfically tailored to you.

Integrative Therapy

As a result of my extensive and broad ranging training, I can offer CBT in partnership with compatible strategies, tools and techniques from a range of other approaches to therapy that may fit well with your needs. For example...

It is important that we are aware that your problems may not be all down to your thought processes and behaviours. You may also be suffering from the stressful impact of a busy, fast paced city lifestyle, which is draining you of your energetic resources - or where you may have gotten stuck on a treadmill and have neglected the bigger picture of your life path. An integrative approach to therapy could offer you a closer look at these issues and help you discover a deeper sense of real purpose and meaning to your life.

It may also be appropriate to make use of the wisdom of Eco-psychology within our work, as it properly considers the impact of a rapidly evolving industrial and technological environment on our own nature, which as a species is much slower to evolve. Eco-therapy is specifically designed to help you reconnect with a more personally - and environmentally - sustainable lifestyle, that's more in tune with your body's natural cycles and rhythms, and supports your longer-term emotional and energetic stability and wellbeing.
