I offer a free initial telephone consultation to answer any questions you might have.

CBT Coaching aims to help you build confidence in your ability to handle current challenges by developing new skills, as well as learning to make more effective use of your existing skills. CBT Coaching is typically shorter than Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, as it is not designed to focus on helping people heal from past hurts or develop new core beliefs, but to offer a very practical “here and now” focus. Some examples include: coaching to build public speaking skills; assertiveness; negotiation skills; time management and the ability to thrive with a fast-paced, busy lifestyle.

How does it work?

Helping clients to recognise and build on their existing strengths plays an important part in CBT Coaching. Sessions will tend to focus on helping you learn new techniques and ways of approaching current challenges that complement and enhance your existing skills. For example, quick methods for relaxation, and becoming instantly grounded and centred are a real help to many people. CBT strategies can enable you to respond - rather than react - to challenges with increased personal confidence and interpersonal effectiveness... but even more than this, they can enable you to be the designer of your own life and transform vision into reality.

A CBT approach to coaching aims to increase your mental flexibility and your ability to make positive, wise and balanced choices - with a real sense of inner strength. You’ll be coached to develop really helpful ways of interpreting situations and empowering attitudes towards yourself, others and life.
